At its Board meeting on 3rd March 2020, EU Specialty Food Ingredients elected a new President, Mr Geert Maesmans, Director Research, Development and Innovation at Cargill Texturizing Solutions, as a successor to Mr Gerard Lynch.

On behalf of our association, I would like to sincerely thank Gerard Lynch for his engagement. We want to wish him all the best.” commented Mr Maesmans. “Personally, I am honoured by the support of my fellow board members. I will do my best to be worthy of their vote of confidence in assuming the responsibilities of EU Specialty Food Ingredients president. Especially in times where our world is seeing so many changes, it is important that we ensure our industry and our customers, our consumers and our regulators understand the role of specialty ingredients.
